CAN WE EXCUSE DISNEY DEPRAVITY?

Disney is a family oriented entertainment industry. Right? When Walt Disney began his world of imagination and wonder it was geared toward the entertainment of the children and the child within each of us. It was the wonder of small animals and even rodents doing things we all knew where impossible. Quite often his creatures could do what you and I could never dream of doing. Mickey and Minnie Mouse talking, steering a steamboat, getting in trouble with friends and neighbors and just the idea that they could express reason and thought captured the imagination of children around the world. Walt Disney opened two theme parks showing that he really did understand what stirred the imagination of children.

When Walt died so did his control over the organization. Those who lurked in the corridors waiting for his demise were finally able to “use” the Disney organization for their own purposes. Make no mistake it is no longer a child friendly industry.

Those in control today realize they have the perfect vehicle for training up children in the way they wish them to go. (Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”) Satan understands better than most Christians today the power of the Word of God. He knows the Bible is true. He fully understands what can happen if he can gain control of the heart of the youth. The Disney organization is fully engaged in stopping the censoring of movies. They want the children to watch every vile and sin-filled scene. The new Disney is filling their own “traditionally child friendly” movies with filth and ungodliness unlike any time since their inception.

Disney is fighting VidAngel trying to legally stop them from letting you and I watch censored versions of movies. They do not want you and I to have easy access to the filtering features offered by this organization. And they are adding open sexual perversion (homosexuality) to traditional fairy tales like Beauty and the Beast. This is not new!!! They have been engaged in this type of indoctrination since Walt Disney left the organization. They are actively, with full intent, engaged in desensitizing your children to sin.

Christians must stop supporting Disney and other organizations like them. Don’t buy their movies. Do not subscribe to their stations. Have the moral character to stand against sin wherever it rears its’ ugly head. Watching a movie is not a necessity of life. If we stop watching what they produce, then eventually they just might produce better movies. And if not, we must still stand against sin.

The entertainment industry is tired of being hamstrung by morality. But they are only doing what comes natural to them. Jesus said in John 3:19 “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (v.20) For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” Their actions are not surprising. The real surprise is in the number of Christians who will find cause to continue supporting these industries.

A non-Disney example comes with a very popular song. I have always thought the music was beautiful myself until recently when I finally paid attention to the words of “The Music of the Night.” Then, I was appalled at what I heard. Read John 3:19-20 again and this time meditate of the concept. Then read the lyrics below. Ask yourself how many times we have been duped into supporting vile, ungodliness with a smile on our faces and applauding. Is it any wonder the church is anemic today?

I wonder how many other songs and movies we have unwittingly applauded. We have been called to separate from the world not succumb to it.
